Terms & Conditions
PLAY reserves the right to cancel classes that are under-enrolled. Participants will be given full or prorated refund equivalent to the value of all unused classes. PLAY also reserves the right to modify classes and staff assignment as necessary at its sole discretion. PLAY may delay opening or cancel classes due to inclement weather and will notify class participants at the earliest convenience. A make-up class will be granted if this should occur.
Class & Membership Refund Policy
PLAY will issue a full refund of paid tuition if cancelled prior to the first class. PLAY will refund 50% after the first class, 25% after the second class and no refund will be granted thereafter. At its discretion, PLAY may issue a full refund after first use of the play space should you wish to cancel your membership. A $200 cancellation fee will apply unless in instances of a noted medical issue. Members may freeze membership for a maximum of 2 months, once per annual contract period with a 30-day advanced written.
Attendance and Make-up Classes
PLAY allows a maximum of 2 make-up classes during the current semester. Please note that all make-up classes must be taken during the current semester and no make-up classes will transfer to the following semester. All make-up classes must be scheduled at least 24 hours in advance and are subject to availability in the appropriate class. No refunds will be given for missed or unused make-up classes.
General Class Information
All classes have a maximum of 16 students depending on the class program requirements and require the presence of a parent/caregiver in the classroom unless noted as drop off. Rules for parents/caregivers inside the classroom include one caregiver per child; no phones allowed; food, drinks or siblings not allowed in the classroom unless registered for the class. Any additional guests of registered student will be accommodated with advance approval of PLAY management.
When registered for a particular class day and time, the student must continue to attend the same class day and time (unless it is a make-up class with 24 hours advanced notification) or unless any special arrangement has been made with PLAY management.
Children enrolled in drop-off classes must be escorted to and from classrooms by their parent/caregiver. Parents/caregivers with children enrolled in drop-off classes must remain on the premises at all times while their child is present.
Only select classes are available for drop-off. Students who have met the following criteria are eligible for drop-off classes.
• Are at least 3 years of age • Potty trained • Comfortable with separation • Have signed the drop-off waiver • Caregivers remain on premise during the entire duration of the class
Safety and Illness
All class participants and authorized caregivers must check-in at the reception desk every time they enter the facility. PLAY reserves the right to cap the number of children and persons in any given area inside the PLAY facility at any given time to ensure the safety and enjoyment of all. PLAY reserves the right to refuse entry to any sick child to prevent contamination. PLAY reserves the right to send him or her home with their appropriate guardian.
It is the sole responsibility of the primary parent or guardian to update relevant contact information in our system. This includes names of approved caregivers, phone numbers, mailing address and e-mail address. Remember that this information is crucial in order that we may reach you in case of emergency.
Food and Allergy Awareness
PLAY restricts any outside food to be brought into the facility except baby food and allergy-sensitive food. No food (including gum and candy) or beverage is allowed inside the play area or classrooms at any time under any circumstances. PLAY is a nut-free facility and requests that all members, their children, caregivers and guests be forewarned that no foods containing nuts, nut ingredients or derivatives, be brought onto the premises. PLAY discourages other members or caregivers from voluntarily feeding other children (without permission and consent of that child’s parent or caregiver) while on the PLAY premises. There may be allergies or foods unsuitable for that child that only the parent or caregiver is aware of. PLAY strictly prohibits any small toys, jewelry or choking hazards to be brought into common areas including classrooms or lounge area that puts other children at risk. Items such as blankets, stuffed animals, pacifiers or other “comfort” items are welcome. Members and authorized caregivers are responsible at all times to help maintain a safe environment for others.
PLAY Facility Rules and Regulations
There is no re-entry to PLAY after the class is over. Indoor playground use and member-exclusive activities are reserved for PLAY members
No shoes are allowed inside the PLAY classrooms or playground areas and it is mandatory that socks be worn at all times. Socks will be available at the front desk for purchase, if needed.
PLAY acknowledges that cell phone use is required for emergencies, however, we request that ringers be turned to silent or vibrate mode when inside the PLAY facility especially when classes are in session. We discourage use of phones during classes to avoid distracting others. PLAY requests that all visitors (members, class participants, authorized caregivers and guests) treat the facility, including but not limited to common areas such as the lounge and restrooms, with the utmost respect and clean up after themselves in order to maintain a clean & safe environment for everyone. PLAY is not liable for lost or stolen property while using the PLAY facilities. PLAY has the right to dismiss any participant who violates the rules of the facility. There will be no refund provided should such cases occur.
WAIVER OF CLAIMS
To the fullest extent allowed under the law, the class participant parent/guardian agrees that PLAY Greenpoint Corp. is not subject to any claim, loss, demand or damages whatsoever, including, without limitation, those damages resulting from acts of active or passive negligence on the part of PLAY Greenpoint Corp., its officers, agents, employees or owners. The class participant parent/guardian further agrees that PLAY Greenpoint Corp. is not liable for any injuries, illnesses, medical conditions, expenses, judgments or damages to anyone on the PLAY Greenpoint Corp. premises, or their property and does hereby expressly forever release and discharge PLAY Greenpoint Corp., its officers, employees, agents, successors and owners from all such claims, demands, injuries, damages, actions or causes of action. This includes attorneys’ fees and court costs resulting from exposure of the class participant to any illness or disease while in the PLAY Greenpoint Corp. facility or any illness or injury resulting there from. This includes injuries resulting in, but not limited to, sprained or broken limbs, bruising, cuts, burns, abrasions, falling, including risk from the actions of others.
The class participant parent/guardian will make every effort to not bring an ill child to PLAY or one that, to the best of their knowledge, has been exposed to any contagious disease. PLAY reserves the right to refuse admission and/or use its sole discretion to send a child home if ill or puts other children at risk.
The class participant parent/guardian agrees that he/she or authorized caregiver shall remain on the PLAY premises to directly supervise their children and be responsible for their safety at all times in the common hallways, lounge, classrooms and restroom facilities, unless otherwise agreed to by PLAY management. The class participant parent/guardian agrees to assume all risks should they or the authorized caregiver leaves the premises.
I do hereby give PLAY Greenpoint Corp. the irrevocable right to use photos of myself and my children for the sole purpose of promoting PLAY and I waive any right to inspect or approve the photos. Names are never used. In the event a name will be used with a photograph, PLAY will contact you and ask for permission before releasing a photograph with a name. I have read this release of liability and fully understand its terms. I sign this freely and voluntarily without any inducement.
IN CASE OF EMERGENCY
In the event of an emergency, PLAY personnel will use their best judgment and efforts to contact the member, emergency contact number on file or authorized caregiver. PLAY Greenpoint Corp. is hereby released of all liability from calling emergency medical care, should PLAY Greenpoint Corp. personnel be unable to reach the member or authorized caregiver within a reasonable amount of time. The class participant acknowledges that PLAY Greenpoint Corp. does not have a medical staff on the premises and cannot provide emergency or other needed treatment.
I understand that soccer classes require physical exertion. I also acknowledge that injury may result during instruction, including but not limited to as a result of physical contact with other students, instructors, or fixed or movable objects.
I agree to assume all risks associated with participating in acting instruction. I represent that my child is medically and physically able to participate in soccer classes. In view of the foregoing, and as a term and condition of receiving instruction at SocRoc & PLAY Greenpoint, I, my spouse, and legal representatives expressly release SocRoc and its employees from all liability.
